الشرذمة: جماعة منقطعة. قال تعالى: إن هؤلاء لشرذمة قليلون [الشعراء/ 54]، وهو من قولهم: ثوب شراذم، أي: متقطع.

eş-Şirzime: kopup (ana kütleden) ayrılmış bir topluluktur. Yüce Allah şöyle buyurmuştur: 'Şüphesiz bunlar sayıca az bir topluluktur (şirzime)' [26:54]. Bu, onların 'sevb şerâzim', yani parça parça olmuş (lime lime) elbise sözünden gelir.
