القسر: الغلبة والقهر. يقال: قسرته واقتسرته، ومنه: القسورة. قال تعالى: فرت من قسورة [المدثر/ 51] قيل: هو الأسد ، وقيل: الرامي، وقيل: الصائد.

el-Kasr: üstün gelmek ve zorla boyun eğdirmektir (kahretmek). "Kasertuhû" ve "iktesertuhû" (onu zorla bastırdım, ona galebe çaldım) denir. "el-Kasvera" da bundandır. Allah Teâlâ şöyle buyurdu: "Kasvereden kaçtılar" [74:51]. Denildi ki: o, aslandır; denildi ki: okçudur (atıcı); denildi ki: avcıdır.
