الصعر: ميل في العنق، والتصعير: إمالته عن النظر كبرا، قال تعالى: ولا تصعر خدك للناس [لقمان/ 18]، وكل صعب يقال له: مصعر، والظليم أصعر خلقة .

es-Sa'r: Boyundaki eğrilik/meyildir. et-Tas'îr ise: Kibirlenerek yüzü (birine) bakmaktan çevirip eğmektir. Yüce Allah şöyle buyurmuştur: "İnsanlardan (kibirle) yüzünü çevirme" [31:18]. Huysuz/serkeş olan her şeye "mus'ar" denir. Erkek deve kuşu (ez-zalîm) ise yaratılış itibariyle boynu eğri (as'ar) olandır.
