الكدح: السعي والعناء. قال تعالى: إنك كادح إلى ربك كدحا [الانشقاق/ 6] وقد يستعمل استعمال الكدم في الأسنان، قال الخليل : الكدح دون الكدم.

el-Kedh (الكدح): Çabalamak/didinmek ve zahmet çekmek. Yüce Allah buyurdu: "Şüphesiz sen Rabbine doğru çaba üstüne çaba (didinip durarak) gidiyorsun" [84:6]. Bu kelime bazen "kedm" (dişle ısırma/dişleme) yerine de kullanılır. Halîl dedi ki: "Kedh", "kedm"in altındadır (ondan daha hafiftir).
