Ākhira means "the last, the next": resurrection after death, reckoning and recompense — one of the pillars of faith.
The believer is certain of it
- "…and they are certain of the Hereafter." (2:4)
Justice to the atom's weight
- "Whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it; whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it." (99:7-8)
- "On the Day of Resurrection We set up the scales of justice; no one is wronged; even a mustard seed We bring forth." (21:47)
Life is not in vain
- "Did you think We created you in vain, and that you would not be returned to Us?" (23:115)
The Hereafter says life is meaningful and accountable.
