الكوب: قدح لا عروة له، وجمعه أكواب. قال: بأكواب وأباريق وكأس من معين [الواقعة/ 18]. والكوبة: الطبل الذي يلعب به.

el-Kûb: Kulpu olmayan kadeh; çoğulu ekvâb. Allah şöyle dedi: "Kadehler, ibrikler ve akıp giden bir kaynaktan (doldurulmuş) kâse ile" [56:18]. el-Kûbe: Kendisiyle oynanan (çalınan) davuldur.
