قوله تعالى: ويخرون للأذقان يبكون [الإسراء/ 109]، الواحد: ذقن، وقد ذقنته: ضربت ذقنه، وناقة ذقون: تستعين بذقنها في سيرها، ودلو ذقون: ضخمة مائلة تشبيها بذلك.

Yüce Allah'ın şu sözü: "Ve çeneleri üstüne kapanarak ağlarlar" [17:109]. Tekili: zekan (çene). "Zekantuhu" dedim, yani: çenesine vurdum. Nâka-i zekûn (zekûn deve): yürüyüşünde çenesinden yararlanan devedir. Delv-i zekûn (zekûn kova): büyük, eğik kovadır; bu (deveye) benzetilerek (böyle adlandırılmıştır).
