If thou couldst but see when they are confronted with their Lord! He will say: "Is not this the truth?" They will say: "Yea, by our Lord!" He will say: "Taste ye then the penalty, because ye rejected Faith."

If you could only see, when they are made to stand before their Lord, how He will say, ‘Is this not real?’ They will say, ‘Yes indeed, by our Lord.’ He will say, ‘Then taste the torment for having disbelieved.’

Rablerinin huzuruna (çıkarılıp) durduruldukları zaman sen onları bir görsen! (Allah:) “Bu (diriltilme) gerçek değil miymiş!” diye soracak; onlar da “Evet (gerçekmiş)! Rabbimize yemin olsun” diyeceklerdir. (Bunun üzerine Allah:) “İnkâr ettiğinizden dolayı azabı tadın!” diyecektir.

ولو ترى -أيها الرسول- منكري البعث إذ حُبسوا بين يدي الله تعالى لقضائه فيهم يوم القيامة، لرأيت أسوأ حال، إذ يقول الله جل وعلا أليس هذا بالحق، أي: أليس هذا البعث الذي كنتم تنكرونه في الدنيا حقًّا؟ قالوا: بلى وربنا إنه لحق، قال الله تعالى: فذوقوا العذاب بما كنتم تكفرون أي: العذاب الذي كنتم تكذبون به في الدنيا بسبب جحودكم بالله تعالى ورسوله محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم.
