Translation

EN

O ye who believe! Turn not (for friendship) to people on whom is the Wrath of Allah, of the Hereafter they are already in despair, just as the Unbelievers are in despair about those (buried) in graves.

A. Yusuf Alipublic-domain

You who believe, do not take as allies those with whom God is angry: they despair of the life to come as the disbelievers despair of those buried in their graves.

M.A.S. Abdel Haleemall-rights-reserved

O ye who believe! Be not friendly with a folk with whom Allah is wroth, (a folk) who have despaired of the Hereafter as the disbelievers despair of those who are in the graves.

M. Pickthallpublic-domain

O you who have believed, do not make allies of a people with whom Allāh has become angry. They have despaired of [reward in] the Hereafter just as the disbelievers have despaired of [meeting] the companions [i.e., inhabitants] of the graves.

Ey inananlar! Allah'ın gazabına uğramış milleti dost edinmeyin; inkarcıların kabirde bulunan kimselerden umutlarını kestikleri gibi, onlar da, ahiretten umutlarını kesmişlerdir.

Ey inananlar, Allah'ın gazab ettiği kimselerle dostluk etmeyin. Kâfirler, mezarlık halkından nasıl ümidi kesmişse, onlar da ahiretten öyle ümidi kesmişlerdi.

Elmalılı Hamdi Yazırpublic-domain

Ey iman edenler! Kendilerine Allah’ın gazap ettiği (hiçbir) topluluğu dost edinmeyin! Onlar, kâfirlerin mezarlar halkından (ölülerden) ümit kestikleri gibi elbette ahiretten ümit kesmişlerdir.
