Doğrusu Allah'a ve Peygamberine inanan Müminler, Peygamberle beraber bir işe karar vermek için toplandıklarında, ondan izin almaksızın gitmezler. Senden izin isteyenler, işte onlar, Allah'a ve Peygamberine inananlardır. Bazı işleri için senden izin isterlerse, içlerinden dilediğine izin ver, Allah'tan, onların bağışlanmalarını dile. Allah şüphesiz bağışlar, merhamet eder.

Müminler ancak, Allah'a ve Resülüne gönülden inanmış kimselerdir. Onlar o Peygamber ile birlikte sosyal bir işle meşgul iken ondan izin istemedikçe bırakıp gitmezler. (Resulüm!) Şu senden izin isteyenler, hakikaten Allah'a ve Resulüne iman etmiş kimselerdir. Öyle ise, bazı işleri için senden izin istediklerinde, sen de onlardan dilediğine izin ver; onlar için Allah'tan bağış dile; çünkü Allah mağfiret edicidir, merhametlidir.

Gerçek müminler, Allah’a ve Elçisine iman edip güvenen kişilerdir. Onunla (Peygamber’le) toplumu ilgilendiren bir konu üzerindeyken, ondan izin isteyinceye kadar gitmezler. Only those are believers, who believe in Allah and His Messenger: when they are with him on a matter requiring collective action, they do not depart until they have asked for his leave; those who ask for thy leave are those who believe in Allah and His Messenger; so when they ask for thy leave, for some business of theirs, give leave to those of them whom thou wilt, and ask Allah for their forgiveness: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

The true believers are those who believe in God and His Mes-senger, who, when they are gathered with him on a communal matter, do not depart until they have asked his permission- those who ask your permission [Prophet] are the ones who truly believe in God and His Messenger. When they ask your permission to attend to their private affairs, allow whoever you see fit and ask God to forgive them. God is most forgiving and merciful.

إنما المؤمنون حقًا هم الذين صدَّقوا الله ورسوله، وعملوا بشرعه، وإذا كانوا مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم على أمر جمعهم له في مصلحة المسلمين، لم ينصرف أحد منهم حتى يستأذنه، إن الذين يستأذنونك - أيها النبي - هم الذين يؤمنون بالله ورسوله حقًا، فإذا استأذنوك لبعض حاجتهم فَأْذَن لمن شئت ممن طلب الإذن في الانصراف لعذر، واطلب لهم المغفرة من الله. إن الله غفور لذنوب عباده التائبين، رحيم بهم.
