فَقَالُوا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِّلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

Translation

EN

They said: "In Allah do we put our trust. Our Lord! make us not a trial for those who practise oppression;

They said, ‘We have put our trust in God. Lord! Do not make us an object of persecution for the oppressors.

فقال قوم موسى له: على الله وحده لا شريك له اعتمدنا، وإليه فوَّضنا أمرنا، ربنا لا تنصرهم علينا فيكون ذلك فتنة لنا عن الدين، أو يُفتن الكفارُ بنصرهم، فيقولوا: لو كانوا على حق لما غُلبوا.
