وهؤلاء الكفار يَصْرُخون من شدة العذاب في نار جهنم مستغيثين: ربنا أخرجنا من نار جهنم، وردَّنا إلى الدنيا نعمل صالحًا غير الذي كنا نعمله في حياتنا الدنيا، فنؤمن بدل الكفر، فيقول لهم: أولم نُمْهلكم في الحياة قَدْرًا وافيًا من العُمُر، يتعظ فيه من اتعظ، وجاءكم النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، ومع ذلك لم تتذكروا ولم تتعظوا؟ فذوقوا عذاب جهنم، فليس للكافرين من ناصر ينصرهم من عذاب الله.

Tafsir al-Muyassarfree-distribution

Orada; "Rabbimiz! Bizi çıkar; yaptığımızdan başka, yararlı iş işleyelim" diye bağrışırlar. O zaman onlara şöyle deriz: "Öğüt alacak kişinin öğüt alabileceği kadar bir süre sizi yaşatmadık mi? Size uyarıcı da gelmişti. Artık azabı tadınız, zalimlerin yardımcısı olmaz."

Onlar, orada şöyle feryad ederler: "Ey Rabbimiz! Bizleri çıkar, yapageldiklerimizden başka salih bir amel yapalım." (Onlara): "Size düşünecek olanın düşüneceği kadar bir ömür vermedik mi? Hem size uyarıcı da gelmişti. O halde azabı tadın. Çünkü zalimleri kurtaracak yoktur." (denir).

Oradakiler şöyle feryat edecekler: “Rabbimiz! Bizi (buradan) çıkar da (dünyada) yaptıklarımızın dışında iyi iş(ler) yapalım.” (Onlara şöyle denecektir:) “Size uyarıcı da geldiği hâlde (gerçeği) hatırlayabilecek kimsenin bunu başarabileceği kadar bir ömür vermedik mi? Şimdi tadın (azabı)!” Zalimlerin hiçbir yardımcısı yoktur.

Therein will they cry aloud (for assistance): "Our Lord! Bring us out: we shall work righteousness, not the (deeds) we used to do!" - "Did We not give you long enough life so that he that would should receive admonition? and (moreover) the warner came to you. So taste ye (the fruits of your deeds): for the wrong-doers there is no helper."

They will cry out loud in Hell, ‘Lord, let us out, and we will do righteous deeds, not what we did before!’- ‘ Did We not give you a life long enough to take warning if you were going to? The warner came to you, now taste the punishment.’ The evildoers will have nobody to help them.

And they cry for help there, (saying): Our Lord! Release us; we will do right, not (the wrong) that we used to do. Did not We grant you a life long enough for him who reflected to reflect therein? And the warner came unto you. Now taste (the flavour of your deeds), for evil-doers have no helper.
