رهقه الأمر: غشيه بقهر، يقال: رهقته وأرهقته، نحو ردفته وأردفته، وبعثته وابتعثته قال: وترهقهم ذلة [يونس/ 27]، وقال: سأرهقه صعودا [المدثر/ 17]، ومنه: أرهقت الصلاة: إذا أخرتها حتى غشي وقت الأخرى.

"Rehikahu'l-emr": İş onu zorla kapladı, bürüdü. "Rehiktuhu" ve "erhaktuhu" denir; tıpkı "radeftuhu" ve "erdeftuhu", "beastuhu" ve "ibteastuhu" gibi. Allah şöyle buyurmuştur: "Onları bir zillet kaplar" [10:27]. Yine şöyle buyurmuştur: "Onu sarp bir yokuşa süreceğim (zorlayacağım)" [74:17]. Bundan türeyerek: "Erhaktu's-salâte": Namazı, öbür namazın vakti girip onu bürüyecek kadar geciktirdim, demektir.
