وَٱسْتَبَقَا ٱلْبَابَ وَقَدَّتْ قَمِيصَهُۥ مِن دُبُرٍ وَأَلْفَيَا سَيِّدَهَا لَدَا ٱلْبَابِ ۚ قَالَتْ مَا جَزَآءُ مَنْ أَرَادَ بِأَهْلِكَ سُوٓءًا إِلَّآ أَن يُسْجَنَ أَوْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ

So they both raced each other to the door, and she tore his shirt from the back: they both found her lord near the door. She said: "What is the (fitting) punishment for one who formed an evil design against thy wife, but prison or a grievous chastisement?"

They raced for the door- she tore his shirt from behind- and at the door they met her husband. She said, ‘What, other than prison or painful punishment, should be the reward of someone who tried to dishonour your wife?’

And they raced with one another to the door, and she tore his shirt from behind, and they met her lord and master at the door. She said: What shall be his reward, who wisheth evil to thy folk, save prison or a painful doom?

İkisi de kapıya koştu, kadın arkadan Yusuf'un gömleğini yırttı; kapının önünde kocasına rastladılar. Kadın kocasına "Ailene fenalık etmek isteyen bir kimsenin cezası ya hapis ya da can yakıcı bir azab olmalıdır" dedi.

İkisi de kapıya koştular. Hanım, onun gömleğini arkadan yırttı. Ve kapının yanında hanımın efendisiyle karşı karşıya geldiler. Hanım hemen dedi ki: "Senin eşine fenalık yapmak isteyenin cezası, zindana atılmaktan veya acı bir azaba uğratılmaktan başka ne olabilir?"

İkisi de kapıya doğru koşmuş ve o (Züleyha) onun (Yusuf’un) gömleğini arkadan yırtmıştı. Kapının yanında onun efendisine (kocasına) rastlamışlardı. (Züleyha eşine) şöyle demişti: “Senin ailene (eşine) kötülük etmek isteyenin cezası, hapsedilmekten veya elem verici bir azaptan başka ne olabilir ki!”

وأسرع يوسف إلى الباب يريد الخروج، وأسرعت تحاول الإمساك به، وجذبت قميصه من خلفه؛ لتحول بينه وبين الخروج فشقَّته، ووجدا زوجها عند الباب فقالت: ما جزاء مَن أراد بامرأتك فاحشة إلا أن يسجن أو يعذب العذاب الموجع.
