29:24

فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوا۟ ٱقْتُلُوهُ أَوْ حَرِّقُوهُ فَأَنجَىٰهُ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ

Translation

EN

So naught was the answer of (Abraham's) people except that they said: "Slay him or burn him." But Allah did save him from the Fire. Verily in this are Signs for people who believe.

The only answer Abraham’s people gave was, ‘Kill him or burn him!’ but God saved him from the Fire: there truly are signs in this for people who believe.

فلم يكن جواب قوم إبراهيم له إلا أن قال بعضهم لبعض: اقتلوه أو حرِّقوه بالنار، فألقوه فيها، فأنجاه الله منها، وجعلها عليه بردًا وسلامًا، إن في إنجائنا لإبراهيم من النار لأدلة وحججًا لقوم يصدِّقون الله ويعملون بشرعه.
