قَالَ رَبِّ ٱجْعَل لِّىٓ ءَايَةً ۖ قَالَ ءَايَتُكَ أَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ ٱلنَّاسَ ثَلَـٰثَةَ أَيَّامٍ إِلَّا رَمْزًا ۗ وَٱذْكُر رَّبَّكَ كَثِيرًا وَسَبِّحْ بِٱلْعَشِىِّ وَٱلْإِبْكَـٰرِ

الترجمة
قال زكريَّا: رب اجعل لي علامةً أستدلُّ بها على وجود الولد مني؛ ليحصل لي السرور والاستبشار، قال: علامتك التي طلبتها: ألا تستطيع التحدث إلى الناس ثلاثة أيام إلا بإشارة إليهم، مع أنك سويٌّ صحيح، وفي هذه المدة أكثِرْ من ذكر ربك، وصلِّ له أواخر النهار وأوائله.

"Ya Rabbi! Bana bir alamet ver" dedi, "Alametin, üç gün, işaretle anlaşma dışında insanlarla konuşmamandır; Rabbini çok an, akşam sabah hamd et" dedi.
