قالت عاد لهود عليه السلام: أدعوتنا لعبادة الله وحده وهَجْر عبادة الأصنام التي ورثنا عبادتها عن آبائنا؟ فأتنا بالعذاب الذي تخوفنا به إن كنت من أهل الصدق فيما تقول.

"Bize yalnız Allah'a kulluk etmemizi, babalarımızın taptıklarını bırakmamızı söylemek için mi geldin? Doğru sözlülerden isen haydi bizi tehdit ettiğin azaba uğrat" dediler.
