Thus have we sent thee amongst a People before whom (long since) have (other) Peoples (gone and) passed away; in order that thou mightest rehearse unto them what We send down unto thee by inspiration; yet do they reject (Him), the Most Gracious! Say: "He is my Lord! There is no god but He! On Him is my trust, and to Him do I turn!"

So We have sent you [Prophet] to a community- other communities passed away long before them- to recite to them what We reveal to you. Yet they disbelieve in the Lord of Mercy. Say, ‘He is my Lord: there is no god but Him. I put my trust in Him and to Him is my return.’

Thus We send thee (O Muhammad) unto a nation, before whom other nations have passed away, that thou mayst recite unto them that which We have inspired in thee, while they are disbelievers in the Beneficent. Böylece seni, kendilerinden önce nice ümmetlerin geçtiği bir ümmete gönderdik ki sana vahyettiğimizi onlara tilavet edesin (okuyup aktarasın). (Oysa) onlar Rahmân’ı inkâr ediyorlar. De ki: “O benim Rabbimdir. O’ndan başka ilah yoktur. Yalnızca O’na güvendim; dönüşüm de yalnızca O’nadır.”

كما أرسلنا المرسلين قبلك أرسلناك -أيها الرسول- في أمة قد مضت مِن قبلها أمم المرسلين؛ لتتلو على هذه الأمة القرآن المنزل عليك، وحال قومك الجحود بوحدانية الرحمن، قل لهم -أيها الرسول-: الرحمن الذي لم تتخذوه إلهًا واحدًا هو ربي وحده لا معبود بحق سواه، عليه اعتمدت ووثقت، وإليه مرجعي وإنابتي.
