3:40

قَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِى غُلَـٰمٌ وَقَدْ بَلَغَنِىَ ٱلْكِبَرُ وَٱمْرَأَتِى عَاقِرٌ ۖ قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ ٱللَّهُ يَفْعَلُ مَا يَشَآءُ

Translation

EN

He said: "O my Lord! How shall I have son, seeing I am very old, and my wife is barren?" "Thus," was the answer, "Doth Allah accomplish what He willeth."

He said, ‘My Lord, how can I have a son when I am so old and my wife is barren?’ [An angel] said, ‘It will be so: God does whatever He will.’

He said: My Lord! How can I have a son when age hath overtaken me already and my wife is barren? (The angel) answered: So (it will be). Allah doeth what He will.

"Ya Rabbi! Ben artık iyice kocamış, karım da kısırken nasıl oğlum olabilir?" dedi. Allah: "Böyledir, Allah dilediğini yapar" dedi.

Zekeriyya: "Ey Rabbim, benim nasıl oğlum olabilir? Bana ihtiyarlık gelip çattı, karım ise kısırdır." dedi. Allah: "Öyledir, fakat Allah dilediğini yapar." buyurdu.

(Zekeriya) şöyle demişti: “Rabbim! Yaşlılık bana gelip çattığına, hanımım da kısır olduğuna göre benim (bir) oğlum nasıl olabilir ki?” (Melekler) şöyle demişti: “Öyle, (ama) Allah dilediğini yapar.”

قال زكريا فرحًا متعجبًا: ربِّ أنَّى يكون لي غلام مع أن الشيخوخة قد بلغت مني مبلغها، وامرأتي عقيم لا تلد؟ قال: كذلك يفعل الله ما يشاء من الأفعال العجيبة المخالفة للعادة.
