مرأ

يقال: مرء، ومرأة، وامرؤ، وامرأة. قال تعالى: إن امرؤ هلك [النساء/ 176]، وكانت امرأتي عاقرا [مريم/ 5]. والمروءة: كمال المرء، كما أن الرجولية كمال الرجل، والمريء: رأس المعدة والكرش اللاصق بالحلقوم، ومرؤ الطعام وأمرأ: إذا تخصص بالمريء لموافقة الطبع، قال تعالى: فكلوه هنيئا مريئا [النساء/ 4].

Mer', mer'e, imru' ve imre'e denir. Yüce Allah şöyle buyurmuştur: "Eğer bir kişi (imru') ölür de..." [4:176]; "Karım ise kısırdır" [19:5]. el-Mürûe (mürüvvet): kişinin (mer') kemale ermesidir; nitekim ricûliyye (erkeklik) de racülün (adamın) kemale ermesidir. el-Merî': midenin ve işkembenin, gırtlağa (hulkûm) bitişik olan baş kısmıdır. "Merue't-taâm" ve "emrae": yemeğin, tabiata uygun düşmesi sebebiyle merî'e mahsus olmasıdır. Yüce Allah şöyle buyurmuştur: "Onu afiyetle, içinize sine sine (heniyyen merîen) yiyin" [4:4].
