33:10

إِذْ جَآءُوكُم مِّن فَوْقِكُمْ وَمِنْ أَسْفَلَ مِنكُمْ وَإِذْ زَاغَتِ ٱلْأَبْصَـٰرُ وَبَلَغَتِ ٱلْقُلُوبُ ٱلْحَنَاجِرَ وَتَظُنُّونَ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلظُّنُونَا۠

Translation

EN

Behold! they came on you from above you and from below you, and behold, the eyes became dim and the hearts gaped up to the throats, and ye imagined various (vain) thoughts about Allah!

They massed against you from above and below; your eyes rolled [with fear], your hearts rose into your throats, and you thought [ill] thoughts of God.

اذكروا إذ جاؤوكم مِن فوقكم من أعلى الوادي من جهة المشرق، ومن أسفل منكم من بطن الوادي من جهة المغرب، وإذ شخصت الأبصار من شدة الحَيْرة والدهشة، وبلغت القلوب الحناجر من شدة الرعب، وغلب اليأس المنافقين، وكثرت الأقاويل، وتظنون بالله الظنون السيئة أنه لا ينصر دينه، ولا يعلي كلمته.
