۞ وَإِذِ ٱبْتَلَىٰٓ إِبْرَٰهِـۧمَ رَبُّهُۥ بِكَلِمَـٰتٍ فَأَتَمَّهُنَّ ۖ قَالَ إِنِّى جَاعِلُكَ لِلنَّاسِ إِمَامًا ۖ قَالَ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِى ۖ قَالَ لَا يَنَالُ عَهْدِى ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

واذكر-أيها النبي- حين اختبر الله إبراهيم بما شرع له من تكاليف، فأدَّاها وقام بها خير قيام. قال الله له: إني جاعلك قدوة للناس. قال إبراهيم: ربِّ اجعل بعض نسلي أئمة فضلا منك، فأجابه الله سبحانه أنه لا تحصل للظالمين الإمامةُ في الدين.
Tafsir al-Muyassarfree-distribution
Rabbi İbrahim'i bir takım emirlerle denemiş, o da onları yerine getirmişti. Allah, "seni insanlara önder kılacağım" demişti. O "soyumdan da" deyince, "zalimler benim ahdime erişemez" buyurmuştu.

Şunu da unutmayın ki, bir zamanlar İbrahim'i Rabbi, birtakım kelimeler ile imtihan etti, o, onları sona erdirince, Rabbi ona, "Ben seni bütün insanlara imam yapacağım." buyurdu. İbrahim, "Zürriyetimden de yap!" dedi. Rabbi ona "zâlimler benim ahdime nail olamaz!" buyurdu.

And remember that Abraham was tried by his Lord with certain commands, which he fulfilled: He said: "I will make thee an Imam to the Nations." He pleaded: "And also (Imams) from my offspring!" He answered: "But My Promise is not within the reach of evil-doers."
