2:193

وَقَـٰتِلُوهُمْ حَتَّىٰ لَا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ وَيَكُونَ ٱلدِّينُ لِلَّهِ ۖ فَإِنِ ٱنتَهَوْا۟ فَلَا عُدْوَٰنَ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

Translation

And fight them on until there is no more Tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in Allah; but if they cease, Let there be no hostility except to those who practise oppression.

Fight them until there is no more persecution, and worship is devoted to God. If they cease hostilities, there can be no [further] hostility, except towards aggressors.

واستمروا- أيها المؤمنون- في قتال المشركين المعتدين، حتى لا تكون فتنة للمسلمين عن دينهم ولا شرك بالله، ويبقى الدين لله وحده خالصًا لا يُعْبَد معه غيره. فإن كفُّوا عن الكفر والقتال فكُفُّوا عنهم؛ فالعقوبة لا تكون إلا على المستمرين على كفرهم وعدوانهم.
