هو الذي خلقكم -أيها الناس- من نفس واحدة، وهي آدم عليه السلام وخَلَق منها زوجها، وهي حواء؛ ليأنس بها ويطمئن، فلما جامعها -والمراد جنس الزوجين من ذرية آدم- حملت ماءً خفيفًا، فقامت به وقعدت وأتمت الحمل، فلما قَرُبت ولادتها وأثقلت دعا الزوجان ربهما: لئن أعطيتنا بشرًا سويًا صالحًا لنكونن ممن يشكرك على ما وهبت لنا من الولد الصالح.

Sizi bir nefisten yaratan ve gönlünün huzura kavuşacağı eşini de ondan var eden Allah'tır. Eşine yaklaşınca, eşi hafif bir yük yüklendi ve bu halde bir müddet taşıdı. Hamileliği ağırlaşınca, karı-koca, Rableri olan Allah'a: "Bize kusursuz bir çocuk verirsen, and olsun ki şükredenlerden oluruz" diye yalvardılar.

Sizi bir tek nefisten yaratan, onunla sükûnet bulsun diye eşini de ondan yaratan Allah'tır. O, eşini kucaklayıp sarılınca (ona yaklaşınca), eşi hafif bir yük yüklendi (hâmile kaldı). Bir müddet böyle geçti, derken yükü ağırlaştı. O vakit ikisi birden Rableri olan Allah'a şöyle dua ettiler: "Eğer bize salih bir evlat verirsen, biz muhakkak şükredenlerden olacağız."

Sizi tek bir nefisten (candan/cevherden) yaratan, (yine) ondan kendisiyle huzur bulsun diye eşini yaratan O’dur. (Yük) ağırlaşınca “Bize iyi (sağlıklı) bir çocuk verirsen elbette şükredenlerden olacağız.” diye Rableri Allah’a dua ederler.

When they are united, she bears a light burden and carries it about (unnoticed).
