2:26

۞ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَسْتَحْىِۦٓ أَن يَضْرِبَ مَثَلًا مَّا بَعُوضَةً فَمَا فَوْقَهَا ۚ فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ فَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ ٱلْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّهِمْ ۖ وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فَيَقُولُونَ مَاذَآ أَرَادَ ٱللَّهُ بِهَـٰذَا مَثَلًا ۘ يُضِلُّ بِهِۦ كَثِيرًا وَيَهْدِى بِهِۦ كَثِيرًا ۚ وَمَا يُضِلُّ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّا ٱلْفَـٰسِقِينَ

Translation

EN

Allah disdains not to use the similitude of things, lowest as well as highest. Those who believe know that it is truth from their Lord; but those who reject Faith say: "What means Allah by this similitude?" By it He causes many to stray, and many He leads into the right path; but He causes not to stray, except those who forsake (the path),-

God does not shy from drawing comparisons even with something as small as a gnat, or larger: the believers know it is the truth from their Lord, but the disbelievers say, ‘What does God mean by such a comparison?’ Through it He makes many go astray and leads many to the right path. But it is only the rebels He makes go astray:

Lo! Allah disdaineth not to coin the similitude even of a gnat. Those who believe know that it is the truth from their Lord; but those who disbelieve say: What doth Allah wish (to teach) by such a similitude? He misleadeth many thereby, and He guideth many thereby; and He misleadeth thereby only miscreants;

Indeed, Allāh is not timid to present an example - that of a mosquito or what is smaller than it. And those who have believed know that it is the truth from their Lord. But as for those who disbelieve, they say, "What did Allāh intend by this as an example?" He misleads many thereby and guides many thereby. And He misleads not except the defiantly disobedient,

Allah sivrisineği ve onun üstününü misal olarak vermekten çekinmez. İnananlar bunun Rablerinden bir gerçek olduğunu bilirler. İnkar edenler ise "Allah bu misalle neyi murad etti?" derler, O, bu misalle birçoğunu saptırır, birçoğunu da yola getirir. Onunla saptırdığı yalnız fasıklardır ki onlar Allah'la yapılan sözleşmeyi kabulden sonra bozarlar. Allah'ın birleştirilmesini buyurduğu şeyi ayırırlar ve yeryüzünde bozgunculuk yaparlar; zarara uğrayanlar işte onlardır.

Muhakkak ki Allah bir sivri sineği, hatta daha üstününü misal getirmekten çekinmez. İman edenler bilirler ki, o şüphesiz haktır, Rabb'lerındandır. Ama küfre saplananlar: "Allah böyle bir misal ile ne demek istedi?" derler. Allah onunla birçoklarını şaşırtır, yine onunla birçoklarını yola getirir. Onunla ancak o fasıkları şaşırtır.

Şüphesiz ki Allah (gerçeği açıklamak için) sivrisineği ve onun da ötesinde herhangi bir varlığı örnek vermekten çekinmez. İman edenler bunun (örneklerin) Rablerinden (gelen) bir gerçek olduğunu bilirler. Kâfir olanlar ise “Allah böyle örnek vermekle ne kastetmiştir ki!” derler. (Allah) onunla birçoğunu saptırır; birçoğunu da doğru yola ulaştırır. (Allah) bununla (verdiği örneklerle zaten) yoldan çıkmış olanlardan başkasını saptırmaz.

إن الله تعالى لا يستحيي من الحق أن يذكر شيئًا ما، قلَّ أو كثر، ولو كان تمثيلا بأصغر شيء، كالبعوضة والذباب ونحو ذلك، مما ضربه الله مثلا لِعَجْز كل ما يُعْبَد من دون الله. فأما المؤمنون فيعلمون حكمة الله في التمثيل بالصغير والكبير من خلقه، وأما الكفار فَيَسْخرون ويقولون: ما مراد الله مِن ضَرْب المثل بهذه الحشرات الحقيرة؟ ويجيبهم الله بأن المراد هو الاختبار، وتمييز المؤمن من الكافر؛ لذلك يصرف الله بهذا المثل ناسًا كثيرين عن الحق لسخريتهم منه، ويوفق به غيرهم إلى مزيد من الإيمان والهداية. والله تعالى لا يظلم أحدًا؛ لأنه لا يَصْرِف عن الحق إلا الخارجين عن طاعته.
