12:51

قَالَ مَا خَطْبُكُنَّ إِذْ رَٰوَدتُّنَّ يُوسُفَ عَن نَّفْسِهِۦ ۚ قُلْنَ حَـٰشَ لِلَّهِ مَا عَلِمْنَا عَلَيْهِ مِن سُوٓءٍ ۚ قَالَتِ ٱمْرَأَتُ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْـَٔـٰنَ حَصْحَصَ ٱلْحَقُّ أَنَا۠ رَٰوَدتُّهُۥ عَن نَّفْسِهِۦ وَإِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ

Translation

EN

(The king) said (to the ladies): "What was your affair when ye did seek to seduce Joseph from his (true) self?" The ladies said: "Allah preserve us! no evil know we against him!" Said the 'Aziz's wife: "Now is the truth manifest (to all): it was I who sought to seduce him from his (true) self: He is indeed of those who are (ever) true (and virtuous).

The king asked the women, ‘What happened when you tried to seduce Joseph?’ They said, ‘God forbid! We know nothing bad of him!’ and the governor’s wife said, ‘Now the truth is out: it was I who tried to seduce him- he is an honest man.’

He (the king) (then sent for those women and) said: What happened when ye asked an evil act of Joseph? They answered: Allah Blameless! We know no evil of him. Said the wife of the ruler: Now the truth is out. I asked of him an evil act, and he is surely of the truthful.

Said [the king to the women], "What was your condition when you sought to seduce Joseph?" They said, "Perfect is Allāh! We know about him no evil." The wife of al-ʿAzeez said, "Now the truth has become evident. It was I who sought to seduce him, and indeed, he is of the truthful.

Hükümdar kadınlara: "Yusuf'un olmak istediğiniz zaman durumunuz neydi?" dedi. Kadınlar, "Haşa! Onun bir fenalığını görmedik" dediler. Vezirin karısı: "Şimdi gerçek ortaya çıktı; onun olmak isteyen bendim; doğrusu Yusuf doğrulardandır" dedi.

Hükümdar, o kadınlara "Derdiniz neydi ki, o vakit Yusuf'un nefsinden murad almaya kalktınız?" dedi. Onlar "Hâşâ, Allah için, biz onun aleyhinde hiçbir fenalık bilmiyoruz" dediler. Aziz'in, karısı da: "Şimdi hak ve hakikat olduğu gibi ortaya çıktı. Aslında onun nefsinden ben murad almak istedim. O ise şeksiz şüphesiz doğrulardandır" dedi.

(Hükümdar, kadınlara) şöyle demişti: “Yusuf’un (cinsel olarak) nefsinden yararlanmak istediğiniz zaman durumunuz neydi?” Onlar “Haşa! Allah için! Biz ondan hiçbir kötülük görmedik.” demişlerdi. Aziz’in hanımı şöyle demişti: “Şimdi gerçek ortaya çıktı. Ben (cinsel olarak) ondan yararlanmak istemiştim. Şüphesiz ki o doğru söyleyenlerdendir.”

قال الملك للنسوة اللاتي جرحن أيديهن: ما شأنكن حين راودتنَّ يوسف عن نفسه يوم الضيافة؟ فهل رأيتن منه ما يريب؟ قلن: معاذ الله ما علمنا عليه أدنى شيء يَشينه، عند ذلك قالت امراة العزيز: الآن ظهر الحق بعد خفائه، فأنا التي حاولت فتنته بإغرائه فامتنع، وإنه لمن الصادقين في كل ما قاله.
